Today was day two of our Canadian journey. We woke up this morning for complementary team breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast we were on our way to Grouse Mountain. We took a gondola up to the top of the mountains. Here we were able to explore many things.
We took a trail to the owl sculpture to take many pictures with our mascot. Afterwards we were able to see a real owl show and learn more about our mascot. Then we took a ski lift up higher into the mountains. Here we were able to take a team picture with a beautiful scenery of Vancouver behind us. We enjoyed our wonderful experience in Grouse Mountain.
After our tour of the mountain it was time to switch over to game mode. We played our first international game against UBC. The coaches and returners did a phenomenal job with helping the freshmen overcome their first collegiate game. Although this tournament doesn't count in regular season, winning our first game definitely gave us confidence as a team.
We’re extremely blessed as freshmen to be able to go on a foreign trip. This gave us the opportunity to receive ten extra practices with the team along with three international games.
