Day 7- Day in Victoria & Game vs. Camosan College

As we get closer to wrapping up our foreign trip, I would like to reflect on all of the great adventures we have endeavored and the memories that we have created with one another. My personal favorite of the trip was the opportunity to zip line. Taking in the beautiful view of the Whistler Mountain down below and feeling the breeze on your face as you zing through the mountains was an unbelievable experience. We learned to trust each other in this experience and give each other the confidence to step off the stairs and zip down the mountain.

We also enjoyed lots of bonding time together on the ferry ride to Victoria bombarding each other with 'Would You Rather?' questions prompted by Kobie. During our ride to our hotel, our very affirming bus driver informed us of the history of Victoria, which is the Capital of British Columbia. We were all in awe of the Victorian architecture of the city. The city is filled with so much history and to take in it all becomes kind of overwhelming. Words cannot explain how much this trip means to our coaches and team. Even though today was not as exciting as other days, our bonding opportunities and time with one another led to our amazing 109-51 victory over Camosun College. Before the game, some of us enjoyed time with Seals, and enjoyed the sight seeing of the beautiful city of Victoria. While others were very excited for the experience of a baby goat plopping down on their laps. *Cough* Alexis *Cough*.

To say the least, I think that this experience gave the team a huge opportunity for bonding. This trip is our chance to get away from what we all knew was too familiar and allowed us to get out of our comfort zones. It was a great trip to focus on the group without distractions.

Stay Beautiful, RG! :)
